INCIDENTS IN THE SCHOOL LIBRARY
My friend and I have been going to the school library to do our self-study but we are unhappy about a few incidents that happen recently. I am writing this letter to update you about the incidents that had happen.
There is a group of student in the library has been talking very loudly making the student cannot force on their reading or self-study. When the librarians went forward to them and ask them to lower their volume, the group of student scolded vulgarity at her as if they were picking for a fight. I think something should be done about these group of student.
Some student even break the rule. They sneak in food into the library. Some even spilled their sweet drink onto the table making them wet and sticky. Ants will also be attracted to the table as the drink is sweet. I hope the librarian will stop student to sneak in food like making them to patrol around the library.
A boy even wore his P.E attire that is soak with his perspiration. This make us unable to stay force. With the perspiration, there will be an odour. I hope that being soaked with perspiration is banned from entering the library.
A group of student has been playing games on computers for a very long time. This is unfair for other student who need the computer to do their homework or project. I hope librarian will stop anyone playing games on the computer.
I think that a library should be a very peaceful and quiet place which is a suitable place for self-study. The library also did not use to be like this.

International Friendship Day
1)What are the relationship that are important to you within the school context?
-Both the relationship of teacher and friend to important to me as they will help me create a better place for me to study in. The relationship with the teacher will help me with question. Relationship with friend will make me feel that I am not alone but with my friend.
2)What do you know about the history of your school/CCA?
-I do not really know about our school history but I know that y CCA, mutimeadia club, is a so called slacker club as last year we almost do not have any trainning. All we do is sit down and play computer until the CCA ends.
3)Share a story about your school/CCA. It can be funny ones, successful ones and difficult ones.
-Last year in my CCA, everyone was told to form a group of 3/4 as every group are to take part in a competition(N.E.mation 4) create and anime of 60sec, if we become the top 10. We were to write a essay of what our anime will be and we fail to win.(The winner will go to USA to visit the Dreamworks Animation SKG which worth more than $15,000)
4)Have the stories you heard from your classmates changed the way you view/feel about your school?
-The stories have I heard had made me think that chong boon is going to become a gangster school like how it is before but it will not affect me as I have a strong will.

P.E.E.L-Guava
Eating Guava is good for us. Guava help to controll many thing like blood pressure. The apple guava can be juiced and drink while the green apple guava can be eaten raw which is sweet to me. Guava is a healthy chouce of fruit to choose and eat.
Sport Fiesta
This year sport fiesta is the same as last year. When I go for sport fiesta, I thought that I do not need to run but because lack of people I had to run. I run the both 4x100m lower sec boy and 4x400m lower sec boy. For the 4x100m, because that I did not tie my shoes lace, After I run about 50-60m, one of my shoe dropped off and when i run finish, my whole sock wad red. While I am running for the 4x400m lower sec boy, I do not feel like running after running after runnning 200m as before I running, I drank my friend COKE but I still continued to running.
Cross Country
This year cross country was held at the MacRitcite Reseirvoir. It was totally different from the last year cross country as last year, it was held at NYP in the afternoon. This year is also the best cross country for me as I was on duty to take photo of the student. I was told to took photo at the starting and ending. The photo I took at the ending point was what the student face look like after they had run 4.8Km or 3.2KM. I also took a lot of photo and I think the best picture to me is the face of Chun Yu from 2E2. The face is very funny and nice. I think that the teacher will post that picture onto the school website. When all the student had finish runnning, I saw a monkey jumping onto a girl from our school and snatched the breadtalk's plastic bag with bread in it from the boy standing beside her. I wish that I was also on duty for the next year cross country too.

Reflective Journal Summary( post on the 23/3/10
After reading the all article, I have learned lots of new knowledge like before reading the article I never thought that shark is going to be endangered. For the first reflective journal, I learn what is the action took place in 2000 to prevent people from killing the shark, how Senator John Kerry introduce shark conservation to Senate and the project made up by the International Coral Reef Initative, regional, environmental and academic organization. For the second reflective journal, I learn that Qatar, China, Japan and Russia had been helped defeat after arguing with the United States, the European Union and other supporters. It also tells me the main reason why Qatar, China, Japan and Russia argued, for instant the Shark Fin Soup. For the third, which is the last reflective journal tell me the cost of a bowl of Shark Fin Soup and the price of the Shark Fin. By reading the article, I can also tell that shark will be extinct and we will regret one day if we do not do anything at all now as data show that the North Atlantic population of oceanic whitetops declined by an estimated value of 70% in the 1990s and scalloped hammerheads by the value of 83% in the North Atlantic since the 1980s. At the same time, by reading the first and the third journal, I can also tell that Shark play a very important role in the ecosystem.

Short Summary- Shark conservation proposal defeated at UN meeting
Reflection-Before reading this news posted on 17/3/2010, I do not know that Qatar, China, Japan and Russia had been helped defeat. I think that they are wrong but they, which is Qatar, China, Japan, Russia and some other supporter, argued with the United States, the European Union and other supporters that the sharks populations is not suffering. I think that they argued although they know that the populations is suffering and they know want to eat the food made from the shark like shark fin soup which is also a traditional Chinese culture which it must be served at weddings and banquets. For the shark fin soup, I think they can try to make an artificial shark fin which I think it is impossible and stupid for me to say this or they can also try to import less shark fin. They also want to banning the export of Atlantic Bluefin tuna which is popular among the sushi lover i do not think they should totally banned Atlantic Bluefin tuna but they can import lesser Bluefin tuna or made artificial Bluefin tuna's flesh for the sushi lover to continue enjoy their sushi.

Short summary: It tell us what the people do in order to protect those shark and the act take place from 2000 but it does not work.
Reflection: I do not even know that there is a shark’s conservation act and that act has move to U.S. Senate before I started on my project. When i just read the title, i thought it only started during 2008 but when I read, the act started 2000 but it is those people who do not care about it and went killing sharks and hunting for Shark Fin illegally. Although it killing sharks was banned but the people do not care as enforcement is complex and there is also rooms for cheating. I also do not know that the sharks conversation act in Senate was introduce by Senator John Kerry after the House vote too. After i read it, I just know that sharks are very importance creatures in maintaining healthy ocean ecosystems. There is also a project that is made up by the International Coral Reef Initative, regional, environmental and academic organization, they will met and released a recommendation on improving shark conversation for coral reef resiliency. Before I read the Shark Conservation Act of 2008, I never thought that the shark is being killed for about 100 million each year by humans.

Chinese New Year Celabration(I posted this on 24th Feb)
This year Chinese New Year Celabration is on the same day as the Total Defence Day and I think that this year Celabration is about the same as last year as we have the lion dance at the end of the event which I think that every school will have every year. I think that the school should make more improvment on the Chinese New Year Celabration like making the lion dancer to have something different, like making them making the oranges into a "福" word.
I also think that if the Celabration could end early but not on school time, it would be better as some of the student could go back to their primary school to visit their teacher or even see the performent make by the little student. While some can go home to prepare for the Chinese New Year too. I also think what I think is also what the student in Chong Boon Secondary School wanted to have .

Total Defend Day(I posted this on 24th Feb)
I forgot what I had do for last year total Defend Day but I can remember what I had done for my Total Defend Day this year. This year is quite fun because we get to visit the booth open by the NCC, NPCC and Red Cross. They also teaches us something. The NCC teach es something about survive in the wild. The NPCC let us to try on the stretcher they made from a big piece of cloth and the stretcher they made from two piece of school PE shirt. The Red Cross tell us what to have at home to prepare ourselves if someone is injured. There is one thing that I hate about this year Total Defence Day is that we can only get to eat a bun and have a bottle of NEWater and when i reach home, I was very hungry and want to eat something too.
I hope that next year Total Defence Day could be much more better than this year as I think that the event will be better each year and will make the student in Chong Boom Secondary student happy, enjoy their time and also make them feel that they never chose the wrong school.

Growth Day(I posted this on 24th Feb)
For my Growth Day this year, we went to the Sentosa for the ITE Beach Fiesta. It is much better then the last year I had. It was because last year, the whole class just stay in class to do a video and nothing else but for this year, it is all different. We can use our coupon that the teacher has given us to play the games that the beach fiesta and by playing game, we can also get a chance to win something. I do not like this the food given on the Growth Day as the rice is very hard and the taste is also very nasty but i told myself to just eat it as that time I was hungry but I wish if next year Growth Day was something like this, I wish the food given to be better.
Even thought this year Growth Day is fun, but I think it would be better if it was to be on weekdays as I think that if it is on weekend, student might have something else on that same day and it would be troublesome to make some arrangement. At the same time, I also think at everyone even the teacher want the Growth Day on a weekday too.

Personal Recount( I post this on 24th Jan morning sorry as my computer time is incorrect)
It was time for my taekwondo training, I changed into my bottom and took my yellow belt with a green tip at the bottom and my top with me and I went to the committee club. I changed my top and tie my belt at the committee club and went in.
“Good evening chief, sir and madam. Permission to join in chief,” I asked chief as whenever he had change into his kit, we must ask for permission.
Chief replied, “Join in,” and I join the group for some excises before our harsh training start.
Once our warm up excises finish, chief told up to practice our belt pattern and our basic kick. One of my sirs saw that one of the yellow six was playing around and he yelled at the top of his voice and ordered him to go to him. With this, painful silences permeate the entire hall and all of the eyes expect chief, sir and madam were fixed on them. The sirs ask him what he was doing but when he heard that, he shook his head. From my point of view I think that he was choked out and he was also looking flustered and fearful.
When the sirs saw that, he asked him again and now the voice was loud that my eardrum was ringing even though I was very far away from them. With this, tears started to flow down his check. The sirs very impatient and he ordered him to do a hundred star jumps at the side.
When that is over, I quickly continue with my basic kicks and my pattern as I did not wad to end up like him. It was time for use to go home and chief said, “Get to rows.”
Now everyone was in their rows and we bow to chief and we went home.

My first aspiration for this year is that i want to pass my English with at least a C5 as I get a C6 and D7 last year with a score of fifty and forty-nine point eight.
My second aspiration is that i want to be a red tip which in taekwondo we call it Blue three as now i am a Green Belt, Green 6, and for me to get red tip i must pass the grading every three month and i have gone to a grading during the 17th of January this year for my green belt and I am also very sure that i will pass the grading as to me from white belt to red belt the grading is sure pass.
Last but not least my target for 2010 is to get into pure science class as my language is bad so I want to use my science and math to score for the O level.
